Paula's soul left her body on June 28, 2025. Paula L. (Myers) Lugar was born on May 18, 1952, in Mishawaka, IN. She died, as was her wish, at her home in Spring Valley, WI while a friend was visiting.
Paula’s profession was occupational therapist in Early Childhood Education. After retirement, she championed social justice and humanitarianism, eg as founding member of Spring Valley Staying Put and Grass Roots Organizing Western Wisconsin. She served as a supervisor in Pierce County and was on the board of WestCAP among others.
Paula was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years Frank, her parents George and Pauline (Burkholder) Myers, and brothers Pat and Frank Myers. She is survived by 2 sisters, Jane Myers (Stephanie and Amanda) and Mary Renfro (Don); and 2 brothers, Dennis Myers (Michelle) and Tom Myers (Sheryl); and generations of nieces and nephews. Also surviving her are her adopted family, Travis and Javin and their children Ramerio and Royalty. She will be missed by many.
A Celebration of Life for Paula will be held on Saturday, August 9th, 1-3PM at the:
