Phyllis Bee, age 91 of Spring Valley, Wisconsin died Saturday, February 24, 2018 at the Spring Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center.
FUNERAL SERVICE for Phyllis will be Monday, March 5, at 11:00 a.m. at Gilman Lutheran Church, Spring Valley.
VISITATION will be Sunday, March 4 from 5-7 p.m. at Keehr Funeral Home, Spring Valley and on Monday for one hour prior to the service at the church.
Burial will be in the spring in Poplar Hill Cemetery, Rock Elm, Wisconsin.
Phyllis was born June 13, 1926 to Alfred and Linda (Kriesel) Zauft in Spring Valley. She grew up near Spring Valley and attended Spring Valley Schools. She graduated with the Class of 1944.
On August 5, 1944 Phyllis married Gale Bee. They lived and farmed in Spring Lake Township most of their married life. Phyllis helped on the farm, worked as a cook in Spring Valley, and was an Avon representative at one time. She was an active member of Gilman Lutheran Church and was proud of starting and being a longtime leader of the Olivet Otters.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband Gale; daughter Sharon; brother Donald Zauft; and step grandson Bruce Lindquist.
She is survived by her son Steven (Gloria) Bee; 12 grandchildren: Shelly (Keith) Tollefson; Cindy (Dan) VanSomeren; Karl (Michelle) Girdeen; Kevin (Doreen) Girdeen; Krissy (Tim) Fauler; Shannon (Tom Lund) Westfield; Jared (Victoria) Bee; Kim (Keith) Freeman; Dorie (Craig) Danielson; Duane Lindquist; Paul Lindquist; and Stacy (James) Kafka; 30 great grandchildren; 21 great great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
