Remona Lansing, age 87 of Spring Valley, died Sunday, August 26, 2018 at the Spring Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 from 4-7 p.m. at Keehr Funeral Home, Spring Valley.
Funeral service will be Thursday August 30, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Elmwood United Methodist Church.
Burial will be in Martell Methodist Cemetery, Martell Township, Wisconsin
Mona was born October 5, 1930 to Oliver and Laverna (Parkhill) Holden in El Paso Township, Pierce County, Wisconsin. She attended Spring Valley Schools graduating with the Class of 1948.
On November 12, 1948 she married Kermit Lansing at the Martell Methodist Church in Martell Township, Wisconsin. They lived most of their life in the Spring Valley area where they raised a family of 7 children.
Mona lived in California for a few years where she babysat and worked in a Candy Shop. After moving back to Wisconsin she waitressed at several places including the Cardinal Café, the Crystal Bar and Ziggy’s in Spring Valley.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband Kermit; sons Dwight, Dean and Derwin; and Dennis; daughter Delores Lansing; 2 sisters: Fern and Ellen Holden; and brother Lloyd Holden.
She is survived by children: Dawn Neidermyer of Spring Valley; Debbie Peterson of Spring Valley; Denise (Bernie) Christman of Elmwood; Dan (Sheri) Lansing of Henderson, Minnesota; and Darla Lansing of Eau Claire; nieces: Linda (Ed) Leehe of Wi Rapids; Yvonne (Skip) Anderson of Washington; and Darlene Brown of Anderson CA; in-laws: Marv (Nancy) Lansing of Knapp; John (Anita) Lansing of Madison; and Pat Swenson of River Falls; 16 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends
