Rickie Huey, age 58, of Barron, formerly of Spring Valley, Wisconsin died Thursday, August 1, 2019 at his home in Barron.
Celebration of Life will be Sunday, August 11, 2019 from noon until 3 p.m. at the Spring Valley Community Center.
Family burial will be at a later date.
Rick was born June 14, 1961 to William and Elinore (Smith) Huey at Menomonie, Wisconsin. He grew up at and attended school in Spring Valley. He had worked for Spring Valley auto and later went on to study operating heavy equipment. He worked construction for home building and worked for a timber company cutting and clearing trees. He also worked as a sandblaster in Baldwin, a quick lube station in River Falls, and his last employment was driving semi truck.
Rick lived in Baldwin, Menomonie, and River Falls. He also lived at New Ulm for a few years and has lived at Barron for the past several years. He enjoyed hunting and watching NASCAR and loved cooking and grilling.
He was preceded in death by his father Bill.
Survivors include his son Nicholas of Hudson; mother Elinore of Spring Valley; sisters Betty Huey of Eau Claire and Lisa (Don) Seyller of Woodville; nephews Brandon (Nicole) Witter and Joseph Brayden; great nephew Brayden; step-father Orville Wood; step sister Kimberly (Jason) Witt; step brother Anthony (Tony) Wood; other relatives and friends.
