Robert Freiberg Obituary

 Robert Freiberg, age 78, of Spring Valley, Wisconsin died Saturday, February 26, 2022 at the Spring Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center.

 Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 from 4-7 p.m. at Keehr Funeral Home, Spring Valley and one hour prior to the service at church on Thursday, March 17.

 A memorial service will be on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Woodville, Wisconsin.

 Burial will be in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery-Hatchville in Weston Township, Wisconsin.

Bob was born August 6, 1943 to Arnold and Lillian (Aamodt) Freiberg in Spring Lake Township, Pierce County, Wisconsin.  He was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith, was a longtime member of St. John’s Lutheran Church-Hatchville, and presently a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Woodville.

Bob grew up and attended grades 1-8 at Reed School and Spring Valley High School graduating with the Class of 1962.  After graduating, Bob  worked with his parents on the home farm.

On October 5, 1968 Bob married Barbara Fritz.  They were married at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church due to the fire at St. John’s-Hatchville. They purchased the home farm and lived and worked there until 1992 when they purchased a home south of Hatchville and Bob started his Welding & Repair business.

Bob was well known for his goofy sense of humor and his love of talking to anyone that had the time. His family and his Christian faith were very important to him. His passion was welding, forging, and helping others.

He was preceded in death by his parents;  Brothers - Gordon, Leroy, & Dennis. Sisters - Joan Styer & Delores Afdahl

Survivors include his wife Barb of Spring Valley; children: Susan (Curt) Turner and Sara (Wally) King both of Spring Valley.

Grandchildren:  Kelsey (Adam) Barstad, Faith (Brandon) King, Austin (Jenna) Turner, and Hope King

Great Grandchildren: Blakely, Brylynn, & Brewer and Savannah, Mckenna, & Annabelle.                             

Siblings: Sister, Marilyn (Charles) Gjovig of East Bethel, Mn. and Brother-in-law, Herb Afdahl of Anthem, Arizona.

Sister-in-law and brother-in-law Brenda and Duane Kado.

Many nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.

Barb and the family wish to thank the staff of  Spring Valley Health & Rehab and St. Croix Hospice for their wonderful loving care. They made Bob's and our lives as easy and comfortable as possible during his stay.
