Robert 'Bob' Hanson

Robert 'Bob' Hanson, age 67, of Spring Valley, died suddenly on Sunday, June 23, 2024, at Western Wisconsin Health, Baldwin.

Bob was born on August 3rd, 1956 in Baldwin, Wisconsin to Ed and Phyllis (Hull) Hanson.

Bob grew up in the Baldwin area with his family. He attended Baldwin-Woodville High School and graduated in 1974.  On August 13, 1996, Bob married Pamela Hampton at The Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa.  Bob worked at the feed mills in Baldwin for approximately 20 years before changing careers and becoming a machinist.  He retired in 2019.  He loved horses and horse pulls and was described by many as a gentle soul.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Phyllis Hanson; infant brother Philip Hanson; infant nephew Todd Hanson; father-in-law Hugh Hampton; sister-in-law LaVonne Hampton; along with several aunts, uncles, other extended family members and friends.

Bob is survived by his wife Pam of 27 years; his siblings: Lee (Janet) Hanson, Byron (Cathy) Hanson, Dave (Karen) Hanson, Peggy Hanson, Amy (Brad) Boldt, and Mary (Nick Marien) Hanson; his mother-in-law Mary Hampton; sisters-in-law: Shelly (Don) Ninneman, Paula Hampton, and Carla (Joey) Johnson.

He is further survived by his aunt Jane Ann Hull; god-daughters: Bridget Hanson and Donna Hampton; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, many cousins and countless friends.

Honorary Bearers will be his fellow horse pulling friends – You know who you are!

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, June 28, 2024, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Spring Valley, PRIOR to the visitation.

Visitation will be FOLLOWING THE SERVICE on Friday, June 28, from 2:30 p.m. until 6 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Spring Valley.

Burial will be at a later date.
