Ruth Rebischke, age 81, died Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at her home in Spring Valley.

Ruth was born December 11, 1939 to Carl and Lucy (Grape) Hanson in Gilman Township, Pierce County, Wisconsin. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Spring Valley and after marriage joined the Catholic Church. She was born and raised in Spring Valley and attended Spring Valley Schools, graduating with the Class of 1957. She continued her education attending The Swedish Hospital in Minneapolis for three years and received a nursing diploma.
On August 3, 1963 Ruth married Lloyd Rebischke at Eagle River, Alaska. Ruth lived in Alaska until 1992 when she and Lloyd moved to Idaho. Lloyd died while they were in Idaho and Ruth returned to Spring Valley in 1995.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing cards, reading and her beer, CHEERS!
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband Lloyd; grandson Karl; brother Howard Hanson; brother-in-law Hugh Hampton; and numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and their spouses.
She is survived by her children: Cheryl (Joe) Homme; Otto (Sandy) Rebischke; Karla Rathbun; and Albert (Teresa) Rebischke; grandchildren: Derek (Amanda); James, Tommy, Cassie (Landon) Crippes; and Brysen; great grandchildren: Shelby and Eva; siblings: Dale (Winnie) Grape; Mary Hampton; Bill (Barb) Hanson; Betty (Irv) Pax; many other relatives and friends.
