Stacey Ann Lanz of Plum City, WI born December 17, 1965 passed on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at her home.  She faced a courageous battle with cancer. At the time of her death she lived in Elmwood, WI where she found delight in being close to her grandchildren.

Stacey graduated from Plum City High school in 1984. Following high school, she attended school for cosmetology. Stacey held various employments through her life but she found great joy and friendships while working at Distinctive Stone Interiors of Roseville, MN. In recent years she worked at SB Foot Tannery of Red Wing, MN alongside her son.

Stacey enjoyed time working in her flower beds and caring for her beautiful planters every summer while soaking up the sunshine. She loved opportunities to travel or road trip, especially with friends. Stacey was a lover of watching Jeopardy and it became a past time she enjoyed taking part in with her grandkids when they stopped over after school. Stacey experienced her greatest joy in life when she watched her grandchildren meet and become cousins. She was a chaser of rainbows, a symbol that her daughter will forever associate with her as she captures them from behind the lens of her camera. Stacey will be remembered for hosting gatherings and her love for entertaining. She was the type of person who was always there to help friends or even strangers during times of need, her giving and kind personality made her a friend to many.

Stacey is survived by her daughter Katie Knegendorf (Thomas) of Elmwood, WI and son Chase Lanz (Emily) of Plum City, WI.  Grand children Olivia, Ivan, Evelyn Knegendorf and Walker Lanz. Her close sister Shawnie King, parents, siblings, nieces and nephews.

Stacey is preceded in death by grandparents Leon & Grace Krogstad, Bernard & Margret Sundberg. Very special uncles and aunt Don & Sharon Menting and LeRoy O.E. Bach.

At her request, no service will be held. Instead her family will be hosting a celebration of life.  Please check back later for time and day of her Celebration.
