Stanley Thompson, age 71, of Colfax, Wisconsin, formerly of Wilson, Wisconsin died peacefully at his home in rural Colfax on Wednesday, November 25, 2020.

Stanley was born December 2, 1948 to Selmer ‘Sam’ and Mabel (Swenson) Thompson in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. He grew up on the family farm near Hersey, Wisconsin and attended Baldwin-Woodville High School, graduating with the Class of 1967. He attended UW-Madison for a year where he studied Ag Science.
He returned to Wilson area and farmed the family farm. He also was a route driver for Surge for many years. On August 6, 1994 he married Deanne Dickens ad Zion Lutheran Church in Woodville. In early 2000’s, he sold the farm and moved to Tainter Township near Colfax.
Stan was very active in the 4-H. He helped establish the Wilson 4-h Club along with his mother Mabel. He continued the 4-H tradition with his grandchildren and helped them show cattle at various fairs. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, softball, and was a lifelong Badger fan.
Preceding him in death were his parents, and daughter Crissy.
Survivors include his wife Deanne; daughter Carrie; grandchildren: Diondra, Makayla, Keyarra, Shayla, and Tayshon; other relatives and friends.
