Steve Bee

Steven Bee, age 71, of Spring Valley, died Sunday, February 12, 2023 at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.

Visitation for Steve will be on Sunday, February 19, 2023 from 3-6 p.m. at Keehr Funeral Home, Spring Valley.

 Funeral service will be Monday, February 20 at 11 a.m. at Gilman Lutheran Church, Spring Valley.

 Burial will be in Poplar Hill Cemetery, Rock Elm Township, Wisconsin.

Steve was bornJune 19, 1951 to Gale and Phyllis (Zauft) Bee in Menomonie, Wisconsin.He grew up on the family farm near Spring Valley and attended Spring Valley schools, graduating with the Class of 1969.

On November 3, 1981, Steve married Gloria Rightman in Grantsburg, Wisconsin.They resided just down the road from where Steve grew up for the last 35 years.

Steve had worked at the Spring Valley Lumber Company, Cady Cheese Factory, and Smead Manufacturing. He then took a position at Archer Daniels Midland in Red Wing where he worked for 38 years before retiring.

He enjoyed 4-wheeling, deer hunting and fishing, and road trips seeing the country.He also enjoyed Nascar Racing, the Wisconsin Badger and Green Bay Packer Football teams, the occasional pulltab and time with friends and family.

Preceding him in death were his parents; sister Sharon Bee; uncle Donald Zauft and stepson Bruce Lindquist.

Survivors include his wife Gloria; children: Kim Freeman, Dorie Danielson (Craig), Duane Lindquist, Paul Lindquist, Shannon Westfield (Tom), Stacy Kafka (James), Jared Bee (Victoria); 22 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.

Pallbearers are: Brock Westfield, Brandon Bee, Owen Bee, Darrick Jackson, Jon Danielson and Chad Freeman.
