Steve Benner, age 35, of Wilson, Wisconsin died Saturday, September 25, 2021 as the result of a motorcycle accident.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 3, 2021 from 1-5 p.m. at the Phoenix Bar and Grill in Baldwin.
A time of sharing will be held from 3 p.m. until 3:30 p.m.
Steve was born April 20, 1986 to Roger and Kathy (Jasinski) Benner. He grew up in Cottage Grove, Minnesota and attended Park High School. After high school he attended Dakota County Tech School where he studied Railroad Engineering.
Steve and Lindsay started their lives together in April 2007, and were married on April Fools Day in 2014. They have lived together in Cady Township since 2013. Steve was a union construction worker and worked for Lloyd’s in the Twin Cities.
Steve’s proudest accomplishment was being a dad. He loved playing board games and having nerf battles. His kids were his world. He also loved to ride his motorcycle and fished as often as he could. Music was built into Steve’s soul. He loved going to concerts and also played the drums.
Preceding him in death were his brother-in-law Joel Ghinther; grandparents: George Jasinski, Wayne Benner, and Ron and Debi Strain.
Survivors include his wife Lindsay; children Renae and Trent Benner; mother Kathy Jo Laabs and step dad Brian Laabs; father Roger Benner; sister Danielle Benner; maternal grandmother Karen; mother-in-law Nancy Wilson; father-in-law Steve Wilson; niece Madeline; nephews: Leland, Nicky, Parker, Mason, Quincy, and Tanner; in-laws: Scott Wilson; Mike (Robin) Ghinter; other relatives and many friends.
