Thomas Wiff Obituary
Tom Wiff, age 88, of Baldwin, former resident of Martell, died Monday, June 2, 2025, at Comforts of Home in Baldwin.
Memorial service will be Thursday, June 12, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Keehr Funeral Home, Spring Valley with Pastor Paul Slaikeu officiating.
Visitation will also be on Thursday, June 12, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Keehr Funeral Home prior to the service.
Burial will be in Martell Methodist Cemetery, Martell Township, Wisconsin.
Thomas Carter Wiff was born in River Falls, Wisconsin, the son of Carl C. and Jennie E. Wiff. Tom graduated from Ellsworth High School. He played football and trombone in the band where he met Bette Jean Erickson. They married in 1956. They were blessed with four children: Timothy, Carl, Boyd, and Brenda.
Tom farmed with his dad and brother until retirement, on the family farm near Martell. He served many years on the Martell town board and Farm Service Cooperative Board. After retiring from the family farm, Tom and Bette moved to Balsam Lake, WI. He spent many days fishing with a good friend Gary Linder, along with enjoying many trips to Canada to fish. They wintered in Mesa, Arizona where he enjoyed playing softball and tennis into his 70’s. They were members of the Gold Canyon United Methodist Church and Holy Trinity Methodist Church of Centuria.
Tom and Bette traveled to Hawaii, Florida, US Virgin Island, Mexico and Canada. Tom loved the Lord Jesus Christ and his family.
Tom is survived by his wife, Bette Jean; sons: Timothy (Jodi), Carl (Kimberly), daughter Brenda; daughter-in-law Deanna; granddaughters: Lindsay (Kevin) Lindner, Morgan (David) Bruggeman, and Aaliyah Wiff; four great grandchildren: Emma and Lucas Lindner, and Parker and Collin Bruggeman. He was preceded in death by son Boyd; brother Charles; sisters Shirley, Ellen, and Susan, and his parents.
