Travis Sotona Obituary

Travis Sotona, age 39, of Spring Valley, Wisconsin, lost his life from depression and life’s struggles on Friday, June 24, 2022 at Western Wisconsin Health.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Port Wing, Wi. at the Town Hall on Saturday August 13, 2022 @1:30 pm. All are welcome.

Travis was born June 1, 1983 to Glenn and Cindy (Lucking) Sotona, in Menomonie, Wisconsin.  He attended elementary school at Drummond, WI and also Spring Valley, WI. The family moved north to Port Wing, WI in 1996 where he attended Jr. & Sr. high at South Shore School where he graduated with the Class of 2002.

Travis resided in Spring Valley, WI. and many years in Superior, Wi. He worked concrete & construction, and with his brother Brock for many years in a sheetrocking business. More recently for Garrett Bauer Concrete and Masonry. Following in his dad's footsteps.

Travis loved his family very much. A special bond with his mom and great love for his dad, his sister, brother and his nieces and nephews. Especially for the little people in his life and spending time with them. June, Hank, Isaac, and his cousin Logan’s kids,  Evie and his buddy Dawson .

Travis loved fishing, hunting, and anything outdoors. He loved his little chocolate lab Sadie, they were always together, she was very special to him and loved by him. Travis loved spending time with his brother Brock and cousin Logan. The 3 of them had spent countless hours together hunting, fishing and we can only guess how much time BS ing & partying together. Their love of the Colorado Elk Hunt was a very special bond they also shared, which included his dad Glenn on occasion.

Travis and his sister Brook loved each other so much. The two had very strong personalities yet they were there for each other whenever needed. He was grateful for Brook and her family and the care they gave him when he was at one of the lowest points in his life.

Travis loved in a very big way. He had a big heart and a big hug and an ‘I love you” to all that he cared about.

Travis is adored and loved by his family and friends and will be so greatly missed.

We are so saddened to lose you but are grateful you are not suffering in pain any longer. Rest peacefully our beautiful Travis. We will always love you!!

Travis was preceded in death by his grandparents: Eugene Sotona, Joann (Sotona) Kraemer, Fran Lucking, Barb (Lucking) Monson and his cousin Brody Sotona.
