Wayne I. Sieg was born on October 29, 1967, in Farmington, Minnesota. He grew up in the Plum City area graduating from Plum City High School in 1986 and soon after enlisted in the United States Army. Wayne served with pride as a member of the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment and was among the first ground forces deployed during the Gulf War in 1990. While stationed at Fort Bliss, Texas, Wayne met Tina, the love of his life in September of 1988. They were married on May 30, 1991, beginning a lifelong partnership filled with devotion and mutual support.

In 1997, Wayne embarked on a new journey by founding Whitetail Builders, a family construction business, which he operated alongside his cousins, Kevin and Jason, as well as his uncle and aunt, Lee and Vonnie. After his time with Whitetail Builders, Wayne worked briefly for Shefchik Builders in Menomonie, Wisconsin. He then joined Renewal by Andersen, where he advanced to the role of Lead Service Technician. Despite a busy career and busy family life, Wayne committed himself to furthering his education and, after ten years of dedication, proudly earned his degree in Business Administration from UW-Stout in 2020.

Wayne and Tina were blessed with two sons: Kienan Wayne, born in 1995, and Kyle James, born in 1997. Wayne considered fatherhood his greatest joy and proudest accomplishment, striving to raise strong, capable, loving and happy young men. A dedicated family man, Wayne regularly visited his Mom, stopping by her home two to three times each week, and cherished his Friday morning coffee group with his stepfather and fellow veterans at the American Legion in River Falls. Wayne’s life was filled with love, laughter, and cherished friendships. He adored babies and young children, relishing their genuine laughter, and delighted in playing with his bonus granddaughter, Princess Nova, making her smile and giggle.

Wayne was a passionate Green Bay Packers fan and proud shareholder. He enjoyed hunting and treasured time spent on his hobby farm, Sieg’s Rocky Acres. Wayne had a special fondness for collecting interesting rocks during his travels, displaying them in his ever evolving rock garden and pond. He took up rock tumbling, enjoying the process of transforming rough stones into smooth, polished agates. Wayne also enjoyed tending to his chickens, walking his dogs, mowing the lawn, and puttering around his property, including planting trees in his beloved 20 acres of “swamp and waste.” Known for his kindness, infectious smile, and unwavering work ethic, Wayne touched the lives of many and was always ready to help others.

As a veteran, Wayne was deeply committed to supporting his fellow service members. He was passionate about causes that focused on treating PTSD, preventing suicide, and caring for those with service-connected illnesses and injuries. Wayne supported organizations like The Hero Company and Till Valhalla, encouraging others to continue supporting these important missions.

Wayne is survived by his loving wife Tina; his sons Kienan and Kyle (Anaïs Shaw); his mother and stepfather, Patsy and Cliff Hudson; his sister Annette (Josh) Tierney; step sisters Cheryl (Kim) Hoffman; Carol Kovacs and Kevin Henkel; Pam Hudson and Trevor Schoerner; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He passed away peacefully at home on December 5, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Wayne’s legacy of love, kindness, and service will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
