William 'Bill' Hofacker

William ‘Bill’ Hofacker, age 58, of Spring Valley, Wisconsin, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at Mayo Clinic Health System, Eau Claire after a lengthy illness.

A Celebration of Life will be on Sunday, May 17, 2026 from 1-4 p.m. at the Brother Michael Center in Spring Valley.  Food and refreshments will be available.

A private family service will be held with burial in Hay River Cemetery, Wheeler, Wisconsin.

Bill was born August 22, 1967, to Edward and Gail (Larson) Hofacker in Menomonie, Wisconsin.  He grew up and attended Spring Valley Schools, graduating with the Class of 1985 and excelled in both football and wrestling.  He was a great sportsman, and athletics and coaching were a huge passion of his.

On October 9, 1993, Bill married Valerie Weiss at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Spring Valley.  They were blessed with two children, Ethan and Emily.

Bill was a business owner and spent the last 20 years serving the dairy industry. He gave so much more of himself than he ever took from others. He enjoyed a nice day of fishing on the boat. Bill loved his dogs, and every dog he ever met was his best friend.

Bill was a kind, hardworking, humble and wise man.  He loved a good laugh and always had a witty one-liner.  He was one of a kind.

Preceding him in death were his grandparents Walt and Dorothy Hofacker, Donald Larson, Geraldine Larson Reim, and Junior Reim.

Survivors include his wife Valerie; son Ethan (Nina) Hofacker; daughter Emily (Hayes Tessier) Hofacker; parents Ed and Gail Hofacker; in-laws Nancy and Dave Dickey; brother Mike Hofacker; nieces and nephews: Justin, Nick, Taylor, Ariel, Lorna, and Carter; other relatives and friends.
