Janice M (Albrigtson) Hoppe

Janice (Albrigtson) Hoppe, age 74, of Maplewood, Minnesota died Saturday, November 18, 2017 at St. Therese at Odilia Hospice in Shoreview.

FUNERAL service will be at noon on Monday, November 20, 2017 Lakeview Lutheran Church, 1194 E Co Rd C, Maplewood, Minnesota.

VISITATION will be from 10 a.m. until noon at the church prior to the service on Monday.

GRAVESIDE service will be on Tuesday, November 21 at 11 a.m. at Brookville Cemetery in Eau Galle Township, south of Woodville, Wisconsin.  Family and friends may gather at the Woodville Legion following the graveside service.

Janice was born February 22, 1943 to Jorgen and Marion (Anderson) Albrigtson in Baldwin, Wisconsin.  She attended Woodville High School and graduated with the Class of 1960.  She continued her education at UW-River Falls and received a Bachelor’s Degree with a double major in Education and Music.

Jan worked for TREND, PATH, and as a free lance writer and teacher. She was proud of her work as the Director of Federal Research Grant Rural Adoption. She was a member of the Woodbury Choir and Orchestra, MN State Band, along with other musical ensembles.  She was active in her church and had served as president of the congregation three times.

Preceding her in death were her parents and brother Wayne.

Janice is survived by her son Daniel (Sarah), grandchildren Katelyn and Dylan, brother Gary, sister-in-law Joey, ex-husband Charles, and many other special friends and family members that have enriched Jan's life.
